  • A sheet of newsprint paper
  • 6-pack of paint

I would really appreciate it if you could send me a picture of the art you are creating each week once you are done with them. So far that is the cover of your sketchbook and the stone mosaic we made last week. We will be using those images for a digital showcase of everyone’s art! You can reply to this email with them or add them to this google drive folder:

Your teacher is Jasmine. This is a message from her.

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a great week. I cannot believe we’re in our last class already, wow. To end the Saturday Art experience, this week we will be doing combining everything we learned from the past 5 weeks to create a 3-1 art style painting. I will attach an example under this paragraph. You will pick 1 object to draw, it can be one from your still life or an object in your house. divide it into three sections, then paint each part in a different art style. You will have a choice between Surrealism, Pop Art, Cubism, and Abstract. basically, you’ll be choosing 3 out of the 4 to utilize in your painting.

Materials you will need for Saturday:

  • Canvas ( The large canvas, wood, square)
  • Easel
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Black Paint Marker (Optional)
  • Pallet
  • Palette Knife
  • Paintbrush
  • Cup of Water
  • Any tool you think is necessary for your painting. It can be stuff we used in the last 4 lessons. For example, magazines, which were used for the Surrealist collages.

Items to check out before Saturday if you have time! (Click the words to access the video).
