Week 29 2023

Travel is enlightening! For the next few weeks, I’m bouncing around Europe with family and will present at the HCII2023 Conference in Copenhagen. I learn so much from the new routines and customs that come with travel. I’ll admit, much of the time, I have my usability, user experience, and experience design hats on while going through customs, ordering food, or doing any kind of interactive activity. I often learn from these interactions that there are better ways of designing services than I had assumed. And yes, sometimes, I feel the frustration of bad services and interaction design. Nevertheless, keeping my eyes and senses open, there’s so much to learn from being in new places and learning from different people.
