Week 28 2023

My friend, Mike’s birthday, is today, and I was reminded of how much I enjoy impromptu friends—the ones who ring you up (or text you) at the last minute to hang out. My friends John, Chuck, Robert, and Mike (several Mikes!) all come to mind as regular impromptu friends. I don’t always say yes to invitations though I wish I could take them all. But when they ring me up, or I send a text, like today, these friends are consistently the ones who are up for a round of disc golf, a beer, or just a chat.
