Week 41 2023

Yesterday I played Idlewild Disc Golf Course just over the border in Kentucky. It’s a humbling course—but so much fun. I’m struck by how much I love disc golf when I play a course like that. Though so many of the holes are difficult for any level of player, they’re still fun to attempt, even when my score is a bit inflated. I think I played it well and made some good shots. Sometimes, the takeaway from a round is not the total score but the few moments when everything aligns, and you make an amazing shot—when you put the disc exactly where you wanted to.

Ahhh… disc golf as a metaphor for life.
