Week 45 2023

Yesterday was a coming-of-age moment for me. Now that I am 48, specific medical procedures come with this age. I had some of those done yesterday. It’s the start of many of these kinds of checkups, monitoring, and procedures that come with getting older.

Moving into this phase of life has reminded me of how many of my friends are older than me. Each has a story and recommendations based on experience. These recommendations have put me at ease. Partly because they have reduced my worry but mostly because they have allowed me to know my friends more profoundly when they share their stories and details that would have been lost had I not asked them about such specific topics.

Walking the path of life together adds color to the journey.
