AI tools like Google Gemini can enhance your work and tailor student learning, but they can also expose units to legal scrutiny and undermine learning. It’s up to you to set AI policies and guidelines specific to your work area, so AI is a partner rather than a liability. During this session, we’ll explore real-world AI uses and misuses in the workplace and briefly cover guidelines and resources from Miami and beyond to build your AI policy reference kit. Each participant will then write guidelines and test them through an interactive activity. By the end, you’ll leave with building blocks for AI policies and guidelines you can adapt to support learning and to serve your colleagues, students, and community well.
