Artist Statement
Design Workbench serves as my experimental laboratory where theory transforms into practical applications. Four initiatives showcase this approach: Living Values reimagines end-of-life planning; Horizons documents how AI and emerging technologies reshape human experiences; Projects in Teaching and Learning features methods like Specifications Grading for iterative development; and Experience Design Factors deciphers elements that impact experiential outcomes. Each demonstrates design’s capacity to address complex challenges-from healthcare decisions to technological adaptation to assessment frameworks. Through this approach, Design Workbench doesn’t merely produce artifacts but develops systems that empower people to navigate complexity with confidence.
