Week 31 2023

Returning from a long trip gives us fresh eyes—I love that about travel. Upon returning from Europe, I am keenly aware of what’s unique about “familiar” places where I live. The way bus stops work, purchasing groceries, terminology, and the language I use every day where I live feel fresh because I have lived in a different culture for a few weeks. Now that I am back from Denmark, the United Kingdom, and France—Oxford, Ohio feels new and sometimes strange. If you open your eyes wide enough, new ideas come in.
